Sevika Sanghom

Mar Thoma Suvishesha Sevika Sangham is the women’s organization of Mar Thoma Church that was established with the purpose of providing a platform for Marthomite women (above the age of 18) to play a significant role in the evangelistic and charitable mission of the church. The organization was founded in 1919 under the leadership of Abraham Mar Thoma Suffragan Metropolitan and is headquartered in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India. The solid foundation of the highly prominent organization was laid by the sacrificial and relentless efforts of its early leaders. Currently, there are numerous branches of Sevika Sangham operating in Marthoma churches worldwide. This calendar year marks the 95th anniversary of the organization, which has grown tremendously since its inception. Sevika Sangham now runs many orphanages, schools, hostels and cottage industry units to help, educate and empower underprivileged children and women. The organization regularly publishes its monthly magazine called “vanita Bodhini’. More details can be found at www.marthoma.in
Sevika sanghom meets every 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 11:00 AM in our Church.
Regular programs of Sevika sanghom include cottage prayer meetings, Bible study sessions, couples conference, and bible quiz. Sevika sanghom also conducts fund raising activities such as Bake sale, craft auction sale for supporting mission projects.
